What affects propane prices?

Propane prices fluctuate with market conditions, but because most propane is produced in the U.S., it is often more stable and affordable than other energy sources. Its pricing is influenced by natural gas and crude oil markets, seasonal demand, weather conditions and transportation costs. We work hard to control operating expenses and offer convenient options to help make propane costs more manageable.

SmartPay monthly budget plan

Enroll in our free SmartPay plan, and we’ll spread your annual propane costs out into low monthly installments. We calculate your average fuel use from recent years, factor in projected prices and then divide the total evenly across the year. You’ll only ever pay that monthly installment, even if you need two deliveries in the month. If our estimate ends up being high or low, we can adjust your payments or reconcile at the end of the program. Ultimately, you only pay for the fuel you receive, at the price in effect on the day you receive your delivery — never a penny more.

Protecting your propane price with Price Cap

Propane customers love our Price Cap program. With this option, you get our everyday low propane price with each delivery, plus a guarantee that for the entire season it will never exceed a set cap. For a small fee, you always get to enjoy the best price for your fuel!

You can also opt for our Fixed Price option, which locks in your rate. But if prices drop, which happens frequently, we cannot lower your rate, because we will have already secured your fuel from our suppliers. There is no fee for Fixed Price.

AutoPay

You never need to worry about a check going missing in the mail or spending money on stamps and envelopes. Just log in to your Valiant account and sign up for no-fee AutoPay. Every month, we’ll debit your checking account or charge your credit card for your balance.
